EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Warrick County School Corporation sent out a safety update to parents and guardians after a gun was found in a student’s bag yesterday.

According to the notice sent out, the school corporation says students will not be allowed to carry backpacks throughout the day from class to class.

They say students will be allowed to carry a small 4.5 inch by 6.5 inch personal item “aligned with expectations at stadiums and other large venues,” and students with medical equipment may need to work with school officials to set up a plan for exceptions.
