A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Maricopa County, as a severe weather system was moving through metro Phoenix, causing street closures and flash flooding warnings in Scottsdale.
Gusty winds and pockets of heavy rainfall remain possible through the weekend, according to a city of Scottsdale press release.
