Even the whisper of a possibility of a storm can be concerning as we reach one year after Helene. Whether a storm hits next week or not, you should be prepared.
"It makes total sense that people are really checked in early right now, because it wasn't almost literally a year ago today that Helene happened and it changed so many lives, changed our region," said Blue Ridge Electric Co-Op communications manager Riley Morningstar.
