The anticipated release of Hades II from Supergiant Games is here. The company spent five years developing the sequel, and developers hope it can be as acclaimed as the first game.

"Can we live up to the promise of the original game?" said Greg Kasavin, Creative Director for Supergiant Games. "No one really had any expectations for the original Hades, and I think that worked towards its advantage."

Hades II takes players on a journey through the Greek underworld. The main character is the daughter of Hades, and players try to help her escape the dark layer of Greek mythology.

The original Hades achieved resounding success, claiming dozens of awards, including several BAFTAs for voice acting. Game critics consistently gave it a 9/10 or 10/10.
