CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — The Clackamas Service Center, also known as CSC, has provided resources, including showers, clothing and food for those in need for years, but now, one key component may be on the verge of shutting down.
CSC's Food Hub was added in 2021, due to rising need in the community because of the pandemic. The 8,000-square-foot warehouse increased the amount of food they were able to distribute by over three times.
But now, things are different.
“That was a different time because so many people had money they weren't spending out in the world and were sharing it with us, and now, with what's going on in the world, people.... our donors are going to the grocery store and having a hard time sometimes paying for their food, so that impacts what they have to share," said Kri
