CAMP VERDE, AZ (AZFamily) — An inmate at the Yavapai County jail has been sentenced to an additional two decades behind bars after he was the mastermind behind violent plans to intimidate witnesses while he was in prison, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO).

The sheriff’s office said Friday that 36-year-old Levi Jones, who is from Phoenix, was sentenced this month to another 20 years as part of a plea deal.

YCSO said that investigators began looking into Jones after deputies learned that he was plotting crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder and witness intimidation, in connection with his murder case.
