MONROE — Despite a 5-0 start, Adams Central football coach Michael Mosser felt his Flying Jets had yet to get off the runway this season after winning the IHSAA Class 2A state title in 2024.
“We have not played like I wanted these guys to play,” Mosser said. “We have really worked hard all week trying to work on ourselves. We've not been clicking as well offensively. We've been playing OK on defense.”
They were matched up Friday night against rival South Adams, which had scored at least 40 points in its four prior games behind senior quarterback Tytus Lehman. That made it the perfect time for AC to kick its performance into high gear and it did so, grounding the South Adams aerial attack, forcing five turnovers and rushing for five touchdowns in a decisive 35-7 win.
“These guys have bro
