A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit Longxi county in Dingxi, Northwest China’s Gansu Province at 5:49 am on Saturday, as reported by the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). The epicenter was located at 34.91 degrees north latitude and 104.58 degrees east longitude, with the earthquake occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers, the CENC confirmed.

Following the earthquake, the China Earthquake Administration (CEA) promptly initiated a Level-3 emergency response. Accordingly, relevant units were sent on the affected sites to conduct joint consultations, enhance earthquake monitoring and post-earthquake trend analysis, and swiftly report related information.
