Homestead earned its first-ever shutout victory over Snider, blanking the Panthers 38-0 Friday at Walters Stadium. The win for the Spartans (4-2, 3-1 SAC) propelled Snider to 2-4 for the first time in 58 years.
Logan Frieden accounted for four touchdowns for Homestead, rushing for two and throwing for two – both to Liam Moore, who caught seven passes for 103 yards. Frieden finished the game 17 of 25 passing for 224 yards and the two scores to Moore.
Shane Bardwell added 134 rushing yards on 18 attempts and a touchdown for Homestead, which outgained Snider 473-122 and picked up 24 first downs compared to just six for the Panthers (2-2 SAC).
