BROOK PARK, Ohio – An intoxicated Brook Park man, 47, was arrested at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 16 after he caused a disturbance during a Brook Park City Council meeting at Brook Park Recreation Center, 17400 Holland Road.

Mayor Edward Orcutt called police at about 8:30 p.m. and the man was speaking to, and arguing with, council members. Orcutt believed the man was threatening council.

When police arrived, Orcutt told them that the man had sat down and was no longer causing problems. He asked police to stay for the rest of the meeting in case the man misbehaved again.

The council meeting ended at about 9 p.m. As people were leaving, the man started talking to Councilman Brian Poindexter about traffic tickets.
