(KRON) -- An investigation is underway after a shooting Friday afternoon in the city's Civic Center neighborhood left one person critically injured.
The San Francisco Police Department confirmed there is no active threat to the public.
SFPD said officers responded to the incident at 4:51 p.m. in the area of Larkin and Grove streets near San Francisco's Main Library location.
A victim found at the scene suffering from an apparent gunshot wound was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said in a statement to KRON4.
Emergency crews cleared the area just after 7:30 p.m., according to the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management.
