BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Brook Park man, 26, was arrested at about 9 p.m. Sept. 11 after he led police on a short vehicle chase.

Police tried to pull over the man’s Chevrolet Malibu on northbound Smith Road near Hummel Road after checking his license plate number and learning that his driver’s license had been suspended.

The man didn’t stop for police, who later determined that his license plates didn’t belong to his car. He did stop, however, at the Smith-Brookpark Road red light.

Police hurried out of their cruiser and ordered the man to pull over. Instead, he turned westbound onto Brookpark. Police jumped back into their cruiser and continued following the man.
