MOORHEAD — St. Catherine broke away from a 24-24 tie to win the first set and went onto a sweep of Concordia on Friday in the MIAC volleyball opener for both squads.
The Wildcats won 27-25, 25-20, 25-22 behind 13 kills from Marta Haugen, who also contributed six digs.
Concordia's Mallory Leitner had 11 kills while Betsy Schiltz had 25 assists. Kelsi Martini and Annie Horan, who added four blocks, each had 12 digs.
The Cobbers hit at a 20.2% clip to St. Catherine's 16.2%.
Concordia fell to the Wildcats for the third straight match.
