Summit owned the first few minutes of Friday night’s big Union County clash in Cranford.

The Cougars, on the other hand, closed the contest with as strong of two minutes as you will see on the high school level.

In a bizarre football game at Memorial Field that saw each team dominate the earliest and latest moments of the game, with a mostly uneventful statement in the middle, it was Summit that walked away with a 24-19 victory on the road.
