Rani Mukerji won her first-ever National Award earlier this week. She was honoured with the Best Actress National Award for her performance in the movie, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. At the ceremony, which was held in New Delhi, Rani sported a pendant with her daughter Adira’s name engraved on it. While Rani’s necklace had grabbed everyone’s attention, the actress has now revealed that she wore it because her daughter could not attend the ceremony.

In a recent interview with India Today, Rani revealed that her daughter wanted to attend the National Awards ceremony. However, they were told that children under the age of 14 were not allowed. When Adira could not accompany her mother at the ceremony, Rani decided to sport a pendant with her name.
