The Fabens High School Wildcats continued their strong play on Friday night and are a serious contender to make the Class 4A football playoffs this season.

The Wildcats outscored Mountain View , 20-0, in the second half for a 26-6 win at Fabens High School.

Fabens has won four games in a row and is 4-1 overall. More importantly, the Wildcats are 3-0 in District 1-4A, Division 1. Mountain View falls to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in district.

Fabens is 4-1 for the first time since 2006.

Quarterback Jesus Martinez threw a touchdown pass, ran for two scores and running back Julio Martinez scored a touchdown run.

Both teams play on Friday, Oct. 3. Fabens pays a visit to Austin and Mountain View is at home vs. Clint.
