A Netflix period drama has already won fans over despite only dropping 48 hours ago, so it’s time to cancel your weekend plans and get binge-watching.

House of Guinness, created by Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight, follows the story of the Guinness family who founded the world-famous brewery.

Set in the 19th century, the series picks up as millionaire and philanthropist Sir Benjamin Guinness dies, leaving his four children to pick up the family business and continue his legacy.

Billed as ‘stout Succession’ by TV critics, the Dublin-set drama features a cast of some huge names, such as Anthony Boyle, James Norton, Emily Fairn, and Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson.
