AFL fans have given Snoop Dogg mostly overwhelming reviews after the US rapper’s performance at Saturday’s grand final between Geelong and Brisbane .

The 53-year-old was a controversial hire with many suggesting he was inappropriate for a league event, while others believed Aussie fans preferred rock anthems and pop singalongs.

In recent years the AFL has gone with big international acts for the grand final, with stars such as Katy Perry (2024), KISS (2023), and Robbie Williams (2022) lighting up the MCG.

William, in particular, was a smash hit, while KISS also energised the crowd with an electrifying performance of their old rock classics.
