Playing in a hotly-competitive Class 5A Special District 3, Silverton made a statement on Friday night with a dominant 44-21 victory at Central.

While the final score was a 23-point victory for Silverton, the Foxes actually held a 44-7 lead in the third quarter and the game had a running clock for most of the second half.

With the win, the Foxes advance to 2-0 in league play and put the rest of Class 5A on notice with a big victory against another team that wants to make a deep run come November.
