The midway point of the high school football regular season is here, and to close out September's games came perhaps the wildest game of the season. We knew going in that Wichita Northwest and Kapaun was a fantastic matchup on paper. What transpired beat even the highest of expectations out of the water.

Northwest controlled the first half in a big way. They scored the game's first four touchdowns to go on top 28-0. A Kapaun touchdown pass cut it to 28-14 at the break, and provided some needed momentum. Cal Purvis made it four straight touchdowns for the Crusaders in the third, tying this one up at 28 each.
