GRAY COLLEGIATE 41, NORTH AUGUSTA 27

Third-ranked North Augusta suffered its first loss of the season, falling 41-27 at No. 9 Gray Collegiate despite 300-plus rushing yards and three touchdowns from running back Michael Doe.

The Jackets (5-1, 2-1 Region 4-AAAA) have a short week upcoming, with a home game Oct. 2 against Aiken High.

MIDLAND VALLEY 34, BROOKLAND-CAYCE 7

Midland Valley bounced back from a disappointing loss last week with a 34-7 road win at Brookland-Cayce.

The Mustangs (4-1, 1-1 Region 4-AAAA) rushed for five touchdowns, two from quarterback Xavier Geter and one each from Nazaire Hicks, Terrance Smith and Preston Smith.

Midland Valley visits Airport on Oct. 3.
