MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — Two people are facing serious charges in Muhlenberg County after an alleged assault at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center.

Authorities say the incident involved a "strap-like object," and left one student injured.

According to the Sheriff's Department, the incident took place on Tuesday near the cafeteria entrance.

The victim says he was shocked to be hit out of nowhere, and even more confused about the object that was used to strike him several times.

The 17-year-old victim has been attending Job Corps for the past 8 months, and was going about his daily routine, when right before dinner, he was struck several times by two other students.
