The Ranch, a Frederick County nonprofit residential substance use disorder recovery center for men, is celebrating five years of growth and expansion under its executive director, Jason Barth.
The nonprofit, on the site of the former Maryland Sherrif’s Youth Ranch, had redirected its mission in 2016 and was focused on helping men with a history of substance use disorder rebuild their lives in order to become productive citizens and reliable adults. It was facing significant challenges on many fronts: financial, clinical, and physical infrastructure.
