ROWLAND HEIGHTS — Rowland completed a stunning fourth-quarter comeback over Diamond Bar to remain undefeated on Friday night.

Rowland quarterback CJ Carillo scored on a three-yard plunge with 35 seconds remaining and the Raiders held on for a come-from-behind 22-21 victory to improve to 5-0 as it gets ready for the Gano League.

The Raiders trailed the Brahmas 21-8 with seven minutes remaining when Bryce Johnson hauled in a 16-yard touchdown pass to cut the Brahmas’ lead to 21-15, setting the stage for the dramatics.

The Raiders got the ball back on a successful onside kick and Carillo provided the finishing touches.

“Our backs were against the wall in the first half,” said Carrillo. “Our offense came out in the second half and we weren’t backing down.”
