The competition is officially about to get underway as Strictly Come Dancing returns with its first live show of the series.

The hit BBC One dance show returned to screens last weekend, with the pre-recorded live show airing on Saturday (September 20).

The 23rd series opener saw hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcome the 15 new celebrity contestants - which is now without Dani Dyer following her shock withdrawal due to injury, with her replacement now announced - into the ballroom for the first time.

The first live show on Saturday night (September 27) follows the series' launch last weekend, and will see the 15 contestants dance with their professional partners and be scored by the judges for the first time.
