Strictly Come Dancing has declared 'it's time' as it revealed the first dances and song choices for week one of this year's competition.

The hit BBC One dance show returned to screens last Saturday night (September 20) with the 2025 launch show.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman officially kicked off proceedings as they returned to the iconic ballroom alongside show judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, as they welcomed the new Strictly stars onto the dance floor for the first time.

The 23rd series opener saw Strictly's 2025 pairings confirmed for the first time, but the show has since been dealt a blow following Dani Dyer's shock withdrawal from the competition this week due to injury.
