As I stopped to look around me, I saw people smiling, sipping drinks, up and dancing with their friends.
This was live music at Symphony Hall but not as you know it.
Symphony Hall has to be my favourite big live music venue in Birmingham. Actually, it's probably my favourite in the UK, bar the Royal Albert Hall.
But it can get pricey to go there often, especially if you're taking a punt on an artist you've not seen before.
