A group of 'prolific' car thieves have been sentenced after they stole more than 40 cars across Birmingham .

Waqar Khan, 25, Harris Haroon, 20, Mohammed Akleem Ali, 18, and 28-year-old Bilal Khan filmed themselves in the vehicles and shared the footage brazenly.

The group were caught out when police noticed a pattern to a number of car thefts in CCTV footage.

Between January and July 2024, Waqar Khan, Harris Haroon, Mohammed Akleem Ali and Bilal Khan loitered around streets and carparks looking for cars to steal.
