BOSTON - The Red Sox don’t have to worry about making the playoffs. They clinched that on Friday night.

Their seed? Their opponent?

For that, they might have to wait until Sunday.

They can finish as the second or third wild card team. If they win either of their last two game or Cleveland loses either of their last two games, the Red Sox would be the second wild card/No. 5 seed.

The No. 5 seed would played the No. 4 seed/first wild card. That could still be the Yankees or the Blue Jays.

If the Red Sox fall to the No. 6 seed, they could face the Guardians or these same Tigers.
