The Punjab Police, on Saturday, confirmed the extradition of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative Parminder Singh, alias Pindi, from the United Arab Emirates, terming it a major breakthrough in cross-border counter-terror operations.
Pindi, a close associate of foreign-based terrorists Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Passia, was brought back from Abu Dhabi after coordinated efforts between Punjab Police, central agencies, and UAE authorities, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said.
The accused faces multiple charges, including petrol bomb attacks, violent assaults, and extortion in Batala and Gurdaspur. His extradition was carried out swiftly after a Red Corner Notice was issued at the request of Batala Police.
