DUBLIN -- Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says he has reached out to former star running back Najee Harris after a potentially career-threatening Achilles tear last week. Tomlin would not disclose anything that he said to Harris, but mentioned the communication for his former first-round pick.
Harris got injured after taking a step on a play action passing play and going down in a heap. Harris was carted off the field and officially deemed out with an ankle injury initially.
It has been a less-than-ideal season for Harris overall. He suffered an eye injury before training camp even started in a Fourth of July fireworks explosion in his hometown of Antioch, California.
