The Ridgefield Spudders’ running game was the difference maker as they ran past Hudson’s Bay 42-0 Friday on the 50th anniversary of the first home game at Ridgefield Stadium.
Ridgefield’s explosive running game accounted for five of their six touchdowns in the 2A Greater St. Helens League game.
Landon DeBeaumont scored on a 65-yard run in the first quarter, and Chase Duncan also scored on a 21-yard run for a 14-0 lead.
At the start of the second quarter, the ground game kept working as Brian McLemore found the end zone on a 41-yard run.
Jaysin Watanabe would add a 51-yard rushing touchdown later in the second quarter and finished the game with 98 yards on 15 carries.
