India’s Sheetal Devi continued her stellar run at the Para World Archery Championships on Saturday, September 27, defeating Turkiye’s top-ranked Oznur Cure Girdi 146-143 to clinch gold in the women’s compound individual category in Gwangju.
This triumph marks Sheetal’s third medal at the event. She had earlier won a mixed team bronze alongside Toman Kumar, overcoming Great Britain’s Jodie Grinham and Nathan MacQueen 152-149. In the compound women’s open team event, Sheetal and Sarita claimed silver after falling to Turkiye in the final.
