Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said lookout notices have been issued against Siddharth Sharma and Shyamkanu Mahanta in connection with the death of singer Zubeen Garg.

Speaking to reporters, Sarma said summons have been served to Shyamkanu Mahanta and eight other Assamese nationals residing in Singapore, requiring them to appear at the CID office in Guwahati by October 6. “We have given them time till October 6. The summons was served through the Indian Embassy in Singapore. Lookout notices have already been issued against Siddharth Sharma and Shyamkanu Mahanta through Interpol to prevent them from fleeing to any other country,” he said.
