ATLANTIC CITY — The city is renaming an Arctic Avenue block in the heart of Midtown after business owners and philanthropists Rita and Anthony Mack.
City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance Sept. 17 to rename a one-block stretch of Arctic Avenue in the area of Tanger Outlets The Walk "Rita and Anthony Mack Avenue."
The renamed block lies between Arkansas and Michigan avenues and is home to one of the two McDonald's restaurants the couple operated here.
During an August meeting, when informed of the street renaming, Anthony Mack said he and his wife found a perfect home in Atlantic City and just wanted to help others.
