New Delhi, Sept 27: Mumbai’s bullet train connecting to Ahmedabad is set to be operational by 2029, with a 50-km section between Surat and Bilimora opening in 2027.

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that travel time will reduce to two hours and seven minutes from nine hours. The project utilizes modern safety technologies and aims for high train frequency. The overall length of the corridor is 508 km, and future plans include four additional bullet train corridors across India.
