LIZTON – It was a rough start Friday for Jack Sorgi and the explosive Class 3A No. 8 Tri-West offense against a visiting No. 10 Indian Creek team that was looking to ruin the Bruins homecoming festivities. Midway through their third series on offense, Tri-West had managed two yards on six plays and Sorgi was 1-of-5 passing for three yards.

But once the junior quarterback and Louisville commit found his rhythm, Sorgi and the Bruins showed just what an explosive offense they could be in a 31-24 Hoosier Legends Conference win over the Braves. On that drive, Sorgi found Carter Cummings up the seam for a 25-yard completion. Two plays later, he fired a 35-yard strike to Quentin Alexander who broke a tackle to run another 20 yards for the score.
