OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It’s the day many in the city have been waiting for since their champ made history earlier this month.

Omaha is welcoming record-setting boxer Terence “Bud” Crawford back home with open arms Saturday, hosting a parade through Midtown that ends with a celebration of his latest victory. Two weeks ago, he became the first boxer to capture three unified division titles .

Mayor John Ewing Jr. will be among many taking part in the parade down Farnam and Harney streets. He will also speak at the celebration — featuring local musicians and more — at the end of the route, in the heart of downtown Omaha.

Thousands turned out for the city’s last celebration for Crawford in 2023 .
