OMAHA, Neb. —

The countdown is on until Omaha celebrates the boxing champion "Bud" Crawford. The city will host a parade for Crawford Saturday morning. After his team, "Team Crawford," is hosting a "celebration of greatness" at the Steelhouse.

While the Steelhouse isn't set up for the celebration just yet, a member of "Team Crawford" says it's all coming together to be ready by Saturday.

"2023 was great, but now he's on an even much bigger stage than what he already was," said Tyrone Marshall with Team Crawford.

Tyrone Marshall has been friends with Terence Crawford since the two were kids in North Omaha.

"We've been friends for over 30 years. I support him in any way that I can," Marshall said.
