Cuttack/Sambalpur: The Orissa High Court has granted bail to Pritiman Dey, an accused in the death of Chinmayi Priyadarshini Sahoo, an alumnus of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla.

While hearing the matter, the court observed that evidence were not adequate to establish that Chinmayee’s death was a case of murder with police investigations and reports pointing to suicide. ADVERTISEMENT

A friend of Chinmayi, Pritiman was arrested in April on the direction of the HC on charges of abetment to suicide.
