A Georgetown teen has been charged after Halton police say he was linked to a series of indecent acts that occurred near a local walking trail.

A suspect was arrested on Sept. 14 after officers were called to a walking trail in Georgetown after a woman observed a man committing an indecent act on a park bench, say police.

Investigators have since connected the same suspect to four other incidents in the same area that happened between Sept. 2 and 14, added the Halton force.

A 19-year-old from Georgetown has been charged with five counts of indecent act.

It is important to note, stressed police, that the alleged offences “followed a consistent pattern and in each of these incidents the accused did not approach or physically touch any of the victims.”
