LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The annual event Jazz in Central Park returns this Sunday, Sept. 28.

WAVE News Weekend Sunrise anchor Marresa Burke sat down with District 6 Councilman JP Lyninger and T.S. Eliot to talk about what audiences can expect during the afternoon of live music.

“I tell people, it’s not just the sixth district, it’s a community event. We want everyone to come out,” Eliot said.

This year, the event will include performances by the Manual Step Team, Dimestore Dandy, Bashiri Asad, and Darnell Levine, as well as feature a segment on gun violence. Vendors and food trucks will also be out at the event.

Jazz in Central Park takes place from 2-5 p.m. at 1350 South 4th Street.
