South Bay residents can enjoy art and the people who make it Saturday during Chula Vista’s third annual ArtFest, a free event celebrating local artists.

It will run from noon to 6 p.m. at Chula Vista City Hall, 276 Fourth Ave. and feature more than 70 arts vendors, including painters, sketch artists, cartoonists, photographers, ceramicists, muralists, and other 2D and 3D artists.

Live music, interactive art stations and live painters will also be available during the event. Guests also have the option to purchase from multiple food trucks and vendors.

Chula Vista’s local Artists-in-Residence at Casa Casillas — Melissa “Melicha” Salgado and German Rojas — will be in attendance, offering live painting demonstrations.
