A week after a disappointing loss to Louisiana-Monroe , the UTEP Miners football team looks to get back on track against another team from northern Louisiana when it takes on Louisiana Tech in the Sun Bowl in its Conference USA opener

UTEP is looking for more offensive consistency, and looking to get back to the strong-tackling defense that it showed in the first three games of the season.

The 1-3 Miners face a Louisiana Tech team that comes in 3-1, including a competitive 23-7 loss at No. 3 LSU and a decisive home win against New Mexico State that serves as its CUSA opener.

That all adds up to the Bulldogs coming in as a 3 1/2-point road favorite.
