SEATTLE -- Ohio State’s first Big Ten opponent could be without an important player in its secondary, opening the door for an explosive afternoon.

One of the marquee matchups in the Buckeyes’ road game against Washington is the battle at wide receiver and cornerback. OSU’s side features Jeremiah Smith as the conference’s best wide receiver alongside Carnell Tate , who might be No. 2.

The Huskies came into the season hoping to combat that with Arizona transfers Tacario Davis and Ephesian Prysock , two bigger cornerbacks who’ve combined to allow four catches for 45 yards on 11 targets. But that math changed two weeks ago.
