With the advent of streaming, social media, and AI, you might think that society is sufficiently, if not endlessly, entertained. If you ask around, though, many folks prefer the ease of the ‘90s and early ‘00s, when people didn’t skate through life with their eyes glued to a screen; when authentic moments trumped posing for the grid; and when genuinely solid sitcoms were at an all-time high. It’s because of this that nostalgic sequels like Happy Gilmore 2 and reminiscent sitcoms like Happy’s Place (starring Reba McEntire ) and Shifting Gears (starring Tim Allen) have been met with such fanfare. It’s also why many fans are hoping for a The King of Queens reboot—but if it’s up to Kevin James, who played protagonist Doug Heffernan, such a pro
