In a major decision, the Tamil Nadu government has announced it will not reconstitute the State Waqf Board until the Supreme Court pronounces its final verdict in the plea challenging the Waqf amendment act. In a official statement, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Minorities and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare, S.M Nasar stated that the state government will await the top court’s final judgement in the case before taking a decision on reconstituting the Waqf board.
