SAN DIEGO -- "The Simpsons" is gearing up to celebrate its 800th episode, marking a major milestone for the longest-running animated American TV series.
The show's creative team is teasing some seriously big-name guest stars for its 37th season.
Michael Keaton, Viola Davis, Barry Sonnenfeld, and Stephen Tobolowsky will appear in various roles, while Idris Elba is set to play a devil or demon of some sort.
Veteran guest star Albert Brooks is back to voice another character. Best known for his role as Hank Scorpio in season 8's "You Only Move Twice," Brooks most recently voiced the slick manager in "Yokel Hero." He's also brought to life characters like Jacques in "Life on the Fast Lane" and Tab Spangler in "The Heartbroke Kid."
