Huntsville Doppler has learned that the tar-like brown substance affecting a number of vehicles in the community is a result of a spill.

A distribution truck owned by Miller Paving experienced a line failure, resulting in an emulsion spill along the downtown section of Muskoka Road 3 in Huntsville, between Yonge Street and Chaffey Street. While the truck is part of the District’s 2025 micro-surfacing contract with Miller, the incident occurred outside of a designated construction zone during transit between sites.

Public communication is expected to be coordinated. Public inquiries regarding potential vehicle damage are being referred to [email protected] .
