OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha is ready to celebrate this weekend. 15 to 20 thousand people are expected to be downtown just for Terence “Bud” Crawford’s parade .
“It’s a great weekend being a bye-week from Nebraska [football],” Steve Nelson, team Crawford said. “We get people from all over Nebraska, all over the world coming to enjoy this event.”
Parade organizers haven’t lost sight of what else is going on.
“There’s so much going on downtown at the same time,” Racquel Henderson, North Omaha Liaison and parade organizer said. “Making sure that individuals have some place to park, can enjoy themselves safely, a lot of those are factors that go into that.”
